Microsoft Word/Excel
Our products use a combination of the free Oracle product called Oracle Objects
for OLE® (OO4O) and either Visual Basic® (for stand-alone Windows executables)
or Visual Basic for Applications® (VBA), the standard Microsoft Office macro
language.
Our Excel® spreadsheet interfaces contain buttons for uploading the spreadsheet
contents to the appropriate Oracle open interface table(s), downloading from
the open interface table(s) to the spreadsheet, and erasing the current
contents of the open interface table(s).
Our mechanism can be added to a Word® document as a VBA® macro, allowing you to
create custom reports in Word®.
These VBA macros also allow you to query your production Oracle applications
from your Excel® or Word® documents for live custom report generation.
